Become a Mat Carrier

We call our volunteers Mat Carriers because of the men in Mark 2 who carried their friend to Jesus.

You do not have to be able to do everything. You just need to be willing to do something.

Becoming a Mat Carrier doesn't mean signing up for a second job. You choose how, when, and how often you can help. When a need comes up that fits your abilities and availability, if you can grab a corner, please do. If you can't, that's okay. 

Some people can fix things. Some can drive. Some can shovel snow. Some can make meals, make phone calls, visit, organize, pray, or simply show up when someone feels alone.

The idea is simple: nobody has to carry the whole mat. Grab a corner.

*Yard work and snow removal

*Transportation

*Meals

*Moving or lifting

*Visiting or companionship

*Making phone calls and checking in

*Professional skills or advice

*Prayer and encouragement

*Whatever else you can bring to the table
